FORT INDIANTOWN GAP SANITARY SEWER DESIGN-BUILD PROJECT
"My professional relationship with Cenkner Engineering evolved when my company (lmbuTec) hired them to complete design work on a Sewer Replacement Project for the Pennsylvania National Guard at Fort Indiantown Gap. The design portion of the project included replacement of the sewer system and lining sewer mains and manholes . Cenkner Engineering also prepared and submitted all the environmental permitting requirements for the project.
The existing sewer system was constructed in the 1940's-1950's and there were many challenges within the design and construction of the project. Cenkner Engineering rose to the challenges and maintained a great working relationship with the client and lmbuTec throughout the entire project. I worked closely with the Project Manager and Designer/CAD Technician and they were excellent . Despite the travel distance, the owner of Cenkner Engineering and project manager, made several visits to the job site to check on progress and offer any assistance .
The government also included Value Engineering in this Design/Building contract. The excellent design completed by Cenkner Engineering saved the government over $300,000,created more work for lmbuTec and provided the government with more improvements on their sewer system . Upon completion of the project, Cenkner Engineering went above and beyond their contracted scope of work with lmbuTec to assist the Pennsylvania National Guard Geographic Information System (GIS) Department with final data.
